Yi- Nagaland launched

Kohima, December 6 (MExN): Young Indians (Yi), Nagaland Chapter, an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and a movement of energetic young Indians with dreams, hope and passion seeking to incorporate “voice of young Indians”, was launched at Hotel Japfu here this evening.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Secretary Industries & Commerce & APC Alemtemshi Jamir IAS said that global interaction is an important aspect of life, and that it is very important for survival, as it would determine the future of our society. He also said that it is a privilege for the Naga youth to be part of the Yi, but with privilege comes responsibility, so one has to strive for it while stressing on the need of human resources to bring in change. He hoped that the present generation involved in this movement would live to see the developed India where there is equity.

Atul Chaturvedi, Head Learning Focus Area of Yi gave a brief presentation on the profile of the Yi. Earlier welcome address was given by Dr. Aotoshi, CII, Nagaland State Council Chairman. The vote of thanks was delivered by Hekani Jakhalu (also chairperson) of the programme.
