Chumukedima, January 17 (MExN): The Yimchungrü Sü-Ra-Me Cultural Club Chumukedima (YSCC) celebrated Tsungkamneo Festival on January 16 at T. Helimong, YSCC treasurer in collaboration with Yimchungrü Arihako Chumukedima (YAC) consisting of all the federating units i.e. Yimchungrü students union Chumukedima (YSUC) Yimchungrü Baptist Borü, Yimchungrü Berü, Christian Youth Endeavor Chumukedima (YCYEC), Yimchungrü Liberu Arihako Chumukedima (YLAC).
The programme was chaired by Throngjangkiu, president YAC and welcome address by Zehwongpah chairman YSCC and opening prayer was pronounced by Akhum pastor, Yimchungrü Baptist Borü YSCC Chumukedima (YBBC).
The significant of the Yimchungrü Tsungkamneo Festival was elaborated by Shojiba, former President YAC where he stated that the youngsters were taught by the elderly people through Morung culture.
A press release added that culture and the important folk tales, merry making, cultural habits, forget and forgiveness and reconciliation was highlighted during this event.
This Yimchungrü Liberu Arihako Cultural Club headed by its team leader, Tsusola Ritrong lead the team and took the participation in cultural dance, where YSCC jointly took the initiative of cultural dance during this Tsungkamneo 2017. The closing prayer was pronounced by Yamki, woman secretary Yimchungrü Baptist Borü women department (WSYBBWD).
