Kohima, August 17 (MExN): The office of the Yimkhiung Union Kohima (YUK) has informed all unregistered Yimkhiung citizens residing in and around Kohima to enroll in the union by August 31.
The respective colony executives are directed to facilitate the process and informed to do the needful in consultation with the colony executives or any other office bearers /executives, the union said.
A press release from YUK President A Akum Yimkhiung and General Secretary Alenso Janger further pointed out that as per a union resolution (YUK Resolution No.1, Ref/Res/1994: 2023), in the event of complying with the this directive, the YUK shall not take cognisance of any unfortunate cases befalling upon unregistered members. This advisory has to be mandatorily upheld by all the bonafide Yimkhiung people residing in and around Kohima, it added.
