WOKHA, APRIL 16 (MExN): Y Mhonbemo Humtsoe MLA from 38th Wokha A/C while speaking at his thanksgiving programme held at Wokha Village pubic ground expressed that “coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress and working together is a success.” He urged the gathering to forgive within and work for social progress as individual alone cannot do much.
He acknowledged the electorate for electing him during the recently concluded NLA election 2023, where he committed to the people to work for the well-being and up-liftment of the society and urged the gathering to do away individualistic mindset and attitude for a prosperous society.
Humtsoe informed the gathering that government service in the state has reached a saturation point and urged educated youths to venture into various skill base and skill education and engage in self employment generation activities. He also informed the department’s heads in the district who attended the programme to give their best in their respective assigned responsibilities for the service and welfare of the people.
Advisor to the Chief Minister, Dr Chumben Murr; State President NCP Nagaland, Vanthungo Odyuo; and Chairman, Lotha Hoho, Mhondamo Ovung also delivered shot speeches.
The programme was chaired by Noyingbeni T Erui; introduction was proposed by Dr Libemo Kithan; while Pastor, Wokha Village Baptist Church, Thungben Kikon offered the thanksgiving prayer.
