Yongkhao village appeals for restoration of damaged GMS

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 9 (MExN): The Yongkhao Village Council and the Village Education Committee have appealed the Department of School Education to restore the damaged building of the Government Middle School (GMS) at the earliest. Yongkhao is located under Tobu sub-division, Mon district. 

A press statement from the Yongkhao Village Council on Friday said the school which was constructed in 1997 was damaged by landslide during the rainy season in 2018. 

While the village council and the VEC have constructed a makeshift house for a temporary school, the press statement said the children are facing a number of inconveniences in their studies without a proper school building. 
In this connection, it has appealed the concerned department to look into the matter with all earnestness.
