
Kohima, September 29 (MExN): The YouthNet is organizing the Ist Young Leaders Connect Conference on October 3 at Kisama under the theme “Connect, Exchange, Strengthen.”
The young leaders connect will seek to develop greater awareness and understanding essentially through ‘connect’, ‘exchange,’’ strengthen’ of issues that affect political, social and economic development of the country viz-a-viz Northeast from young leaders perspective.
The conference will bring together young leaders from the northeast India to connect and in the process bring policy makers, strategists, entrepreneurs, professionals, members of the academic and students on a common platform.
The conference will make young leaders interact with each other in the field of culture, education politics, sports, social entrepreneurship, economics, diplomacy which will not only enhance contact between the young leaders and provide an opportunity to exchange views and opinions and build network, but also be a stepping stone for carving long lasting association and friendship.
It will also offer the opportunity to compare and exchange best practices so as to create new benchmarks in an evolving society. The participants will discuss and deliberate in the shifting paradigm in mainland-north east relations and challenges to change perceptions and gain new perspectives.
In the years to come, it aims to go beyond dialogues and towards deliverable goals applicable in a national and regional setting.
The inaugural programme will start from 9:30 AM onwards which will be chaired by Baichung Bhutia and Anato Zhimomi as co- chair.
