‘Your Money, Your Right’ camp held in Tezpur

Tezpur, November 29 (MExN): An awareness-cum-settlement camp on unclaimed assets under the nationwide campaign “Your Money, Your Right” was held on November 28.

The camp, held at Tarun Asom, Tezpur was chaired by the District Development Commissioner of Sonitpur, according to a press release.

Assistant General Manager of RBI, Bedabrata Saikia, highlighted the importance of the campaign and raised awareness on digital frauds, warning signals, and prevention tips, it stated.

On the occasion, Lead District Manager of Sonitpur, Achajya Sonowal, elaborated on the settlement process and introduced the online UDGAM portal of the RBI for enquiries on unclaimed accounts.

Lists of unclaimed deposit accounts were shared with all the representatives for dissemination within their respective jurisdictions.

Depositor Education and Awareness Fund (DEAF) claim forms along with Know Your Customer (KYC) forms were distributed to all participants.

A total of 23 accounts amounting to Rs 23,48,086.92 were settled at the camp, it added.

The meeting was attended by Regional Manager of AGVB, Tezpur, Ratan Deb, and branch heads of all banks operating under Sonitpur district as well as customers.

Under the ongoing campaign from October 1 to December 31, 2025, a total of 97 accounts amounting to Rs 1,25,83,642.20 have been identified and settled for the Sonitpur district, the statement said.
