‘Youth Brigade 2011’ underway

Health Minister Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu addresses on the second day of the Phek Area Baptist Christian Youth Endeavor ‘Youth Brigade 2011’ .
 
Lanezho | February 4 : The Phek Area Baptist Christian Youth Endeavor ‘Youth Brigade 2011’ entered second day here at Lanezho on the banks of the Lanye River. Minister for Health & Family Welfare, government of Nagaland Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu attended the programme as the “competition declarer guest.”
Quoting the line ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’ Nienu urged the brigade to maintain their inner motive with clean conscience as God always deserves a clean heart. Stating it as a high time for every individual to avoid bad habits, besides shifting of ones moral from bad to good, Nienu called upon the brigade to wash all the dirt from within oneself and acquaint with new chapter of life thereby building the society with better outlook. Stressing to preserve the truthfulness and loyalty that forefathers have firmly maintained, he further urged the brigade to transform the spirit of preserving the same and subsequently pass onto the next generation. “Faith along can deliver the salvation of an individual, hence you should have firm faith for your future course of live” the guest stated. Nienu further called upon the youth to pursue with an intention of building better unity among them saying ‘this is the need of the hour’.
Nienu donated a sum of rupees 10,000 each to all the nine areas and rupees 50,0000 towards the PABCYE Fund.
The Brigade which commenced on February 3 will culminate on February 6 next. Rev. D. N. Soho, Pastor Phek Town Baptist Church, Dr. Vevo Phesao, Pastor, Chakhesang Baptist Church, Minister’s Hill, Kohima and Suluveyi Rhakho, Director. Harvest Ministry, South East Asia are the panel speakers while Khriesazo Huire, Director, Eureka Life Foundation, Phek and Neichute Duolo, Coordinator, Entrepreneur Associates are the workshop speakers.
Earlier, 2011 youth brigade flag was hoisted by Nuchicho Venuh, Chairman, Phek Area Baptist Church Council while the day two was marked with Tug of War competition for both the genders, Choir Indigenous, solo, trio, bible recitation and quartet. The Brigade was directed by Director General Thupukhruyi Venuh, assisted by Adjutant Neilhite Akami and Chairman PABCYE Vekhorayi Lohe along with other brigade officials.
