
Dimapur, February 28 (MExN): A team of state level Youth Congress leaders toured Tuensang district from February 21 to 25 and had interaction with the party workers and general public on various issues. A press release issued by Joshua Swu, Secretary, NPYC stated that the team comprised of Dokiu Kecham, Vice President, NPYC, Mhonchumo Ovung, General Secretary (Admn) NPYC, Joshua Swu, Secretary, NPYC and Shillem Khiam, president, DYC, Tuensang.
While on the invitation of the Public Co-operation Forum of Kiutsukiur Village (PCFKV), the NPYC officials attended the special programme organized by the PCFKV on February 23 with Dokiu Kecham, VP, NPYC as special guest.
In his key note address Kecham called upon the people to be vigilant over the corruptions and anti-people oriented policies of some vested individuals. He also lamented to the people on hearing that these vested individuals did not spare even the subsidies and meager funds meant for the development of rural villages.
He further stated that the Youth Congress will continue to fight for the rights of the common people so that even the most downtrodden people living in the remote areas are benefited out of their due share. Kecham also donated Rupees One Lakh to the organizers.
The visiting NPYC officials also had interaction with the leaders of United Public Forum of Shiponger Village. The meeting was chaired by Tsuyihpah, chairman, PCFKV. Welcome addressed by K. Thsanchimong, VP, PCFKV.
