A 23-year old male reportedly drowned at a water dam in Dzüleke, a village located 36 km away from Nagaland capital, Kohima on November 23 evening.
The youth, reportedly an ITI student, was out on a picnic with friends when the tragic incident occurred.
When contacted, an official of the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) while confirmed the same but said a detailed report is being awaited. The body has been recovered and was being brought to Kohima, the official added.
An official from the Sechü-Zubza Police Station also informed that the police initiated a search operation. More information could not be collected at the time of filing this report since the team at the site could not be reached due to network problem. The body was yet to reach Kohima.
