Youth Empowerment workshop in Kohima

Pragtisheel Vision Foundation (PVF) in collaboration with North East Council (NEC) today held Youth Empowerment Workshop at Ura Academy Hall Kohima. Delivering the opening address, Chief Coordinator and General Secretary of PVF Chumbemo M Patton said that PVF felt the necessity to create awareness on the opportunities of higher education in the cities at the home level. He said that similar workshop will be held in Dimapur on Saturday after which they would come with recommendations and suggestions to be submitted to the State government.  

Students from various education institutions in Kohima attended the workshop wherein topics such as Higher Education and career aspects in the cities was covered by young entrepreneur Timothy Chongthu, issues of scams and human trafficking faced by the Northeast population in cities by Chumbemo M Patton; understanding social work, its outreach and its limitations by Wangring Ranggang and understanding the city dynamics and sharing of lived experience by Treasurer PVF and socio political activist Linda Newmai.
