Mon, January 14 (MExN): A two-day Youth Fest cum Career Counseling was held on January 12-13 at Hongphoi under the theme ‘Celebrating Youth Aspirations’, organized by Hongphoi Students’ Union and sponsored by World Vision India, Mon.
‘Experiential Learning through Games’ was led by Pongjei Konyak, Secretary, Sunday School, KBBB and Technical Session was led by Wangjin Konyak, Associate Professor, Wangkhao College Mon.
Wangjin stressed mainly on the exploration stage (14-25 years) so that they have the right perspective for their careers. Central universities, he said, may be the best pick for higher studies as they offer the best education with fewer expenses besides scholarship facilities.
Temjen Sangtam, Coordinator, Development Facilitation, World Vision India, Mon and staff in charge of the village facilitated the brainstorming session on education and essay writing exercise on the topic ‘My dream village’.
Literary programme and talent expo cum fresher’s night were also held to give a perspective to the students, a press release said. Altogether, 177 students attended the programme.
