Chiephobozou, January 15 (MExN): Nehru Yuva Kendra, Chiephobozou Block in collaboration with Earth Friendly Charitable Trust, Chiephobozou organized a one day neighbourhood youth parliament based on the topic ‘Environmental Conservation’ on January 15 at Chiephobozou Women’s Community Hall. The resource person was Neitsolie Sanchu, Deputy Ranger, Kohima Forest Division. The programme was chaired by Viketouzo Victor. Invocation by Duoneilie Daniel, Catechist of St. Dominic Savio Church and Vizosu Kikhi gave the welcome speech. A special number was given by Akha Richa. The resource person spoke on how the environment has been affected by various human activities leading to climate change. He also focused on ozone depletion, the need for solid management, resource management, discouraging forest fire and energy conservation, he added. The resource person urged the youths to start conserving our environment for the future generation. Total 65 participants from different youth clubs and special invitees attended the programme. The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by NYK Volunteer Keduolhoukho Chadi.
