
Phek, September 23 (MExN): The YouthNet Nagaland in partnership with Phek Town Youth Society (PTYS) and Phek Town Chakhesang Students’ Union (PTCSU) conducted a two-day ‘career guidance’ programme on September 21 and 22 with a turnout of 769 students, 20 entrepreneurs and 30 unemployed youths along with drop-out students.
A press release stated that speaking during an interactive session that was packed with students, Nune Chase, Head of Training and Development encouraged them to follow one’s heart while choosing a career. Handouts of SWOT and RAISEC test were distributed to students to identify one’s strength and improve over their weaknesses. Various job opportunities, career courses and free training available under YouthNet and PMKVY i.e Skill development training was highlighted by Ebibeni Humtsoe, Head of Operation.
While Lezo Putsure, Director YouthNet conducted the business session with Entrepreneurs and unemployed youths, John Meyase Chief Analyst Y/N shared about financial management.
The host on behalf of the students and general public have lauded the Youthnet team for their valuable service and concern towards the students’ community, and further acknowledged the District Administration Phek, and Phek Town Baptist Church for their assistance in making the event a success.
