Dimapur, March 2 (MExN): As part of its Impact 5000 by 18 campaign, YouthNet has resumed its district tour by conducting a one-day career guidance and development programme at Community Education Center School in Dimapur. The training aims to empower students to make informed decisions while planning for their higher education and make career decisions in accordance with their interests, abilities and strengths. It also encourages them to follow one’s passion while deciding a career as opposed to succumbing to pressure from the society and taking up 'safe' professions. YouthNet in a press release said that Impact 5000 by 18 campaign is a five-year joint programme of YouthNet and the Government of Nagaland launched in 2013. For the 2016-2017 Impact campaign, YouthNet has partnered with Accenture’s ‘Skills to Succeed’ global initiative through Quest Alliance. Quest Alliance is a non-profit trust working to bridge the education and skills divide by enabling self-learning for young people 10-35 years old.
