Mon, January 22 (MExN): One-day workshop and spot registration programme for undergoing training for cutting, tailoring, driving and masonry was held on January 22 at Conference Hall of Konyak Union Office, Mon.


Speaking at the occasion as special guest, a DIPR report stated that the Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS said that PMKVY is a free skill development training programme under the government of India to skill youth of the country. Under this programme, the government is giving a free training for the unemployed youth the skill to trained and earn.  The Skill Alli Team, which is a registered training partner with the government among eighteen registered training partner will give training for cutting, tailoring, driving and masonry. He called upon the youth to get the opportunity the scope for self employed and the skill to start earning for the livelihood. 


Introductory note was given by Asst Director, Directorate of Employment & Skill, Kohima Er. Alongse Sangtam. Presidents of KU, KNSK & KSU also spoke during the programme.


Highlights of the programme included Sensitization hour by Skill Alli Team, Table counselling and registration hour.


The programme was conducted under Government Sponsored Course for Skill Development & Employment in collaboration with Directorate of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Nagaland.
