DIMAPUR, AUGUST 30 (MExN): The Yimchungrü Tribal Council (YTC) has appealed to the Chief Engineer PWD (NH) to immediately restore NH-202 near High Bridge (Shunkiu) which has been cut off since July 22, 2018. The said road connects the two district of Kiphire and Tuensang.
In open letter to the Chief Engineer PWD (NH), Kohima, YTC stated that people were facing untold crisis due to the blockade of road connectivity between the two districts. It also stated that the said NH connects to more than a hundred villages, including those in Myanmar border area. Despite the road being cut off for more than a month due to natural calamity, the concerned department was yet to initiate any positive measure to ensure that the road is made pliable, it lamented.
