DIMAPUR, MARCH 31 (MExN): The Yimchungru Tribal Council (YTC) has issued an order prohibiting the use of chemicals, electric appliances and dynamites other than the traditional methods of fishing in its jurisdiction. A press note from the YTC also prohibited hunting and use of any inorganic pesticides, chemicals, salt etc. It further directed village councils and the area GBs union to strictly follow the order cautioning that “defaulters would be penalized as per the law.” It asked all villages under the YTC jurisdiction to comply with the order.
