Longleng, February 4 (MExN): The Yachem Village Council (YVC) today in a press release stated that it is shocked to see the news item under the caption ‘PPC seeks suspension of Longleng DC, others’ which was published in news dailies on February 3 issued by the PPC President Chingan Phom and the General Secretary Changlong Phom. The Yachem Village Council, Chairman, M. Imti Phom in the press release said that the Council “would like to seek the clarification from the office of the Phom People Council (PPC) within 3 days (i.e.7.02.2017) from issuing of this press release, as in what intention and motive, the PPC had sought the suspension of the Deputy Commissioner, Longleng.” Yachem Village Council asks the PPC to “point out his weaknesses and shortcomings while performing his official duty on January 31, 2017 regarding the ULB Election. Failing to respond in a stipulate time, the Yachem Council will initiate its own course of action.”
