DIMAPUR, JULY 11 (MExN): Z Royim has dismissed claims that he has been impeached as Naga National Council (Parent Body) President.
This statement was issued following a press release, which Royim described as "totally false and baseless and unacceptable under any circumstances."
Royim stated that the Naga National Political Alliance (NNPA) supported his position, issuing a press statement published in all local dailies on June 6. “The NNPA has denounced the action of the dissident group and proclaimed that the NNC (PB) is intact and recognised under the leadership of His Excellency the President Z Royim.
Therefore, the question of impeachment and non-existence of NNC (PB) Z Royim does not arise,” the press release stated.
The statement further addressed concerns over unauthorized tax collection.
It warned that "some unscrupulous elements are collecting taxes in the name of NNC (PB) Z Royim."
It urged those involved to desist immediately to avoid any unwanted situations.
It asked businesses, well-wishers, and concerned parties to contact official government assignees for any financial transactions at 6909683554 or 6026519470.
It cautioned that "anyone dealing with unauthorized persons would be doing so at their own risk."
