Dimapur, September 1 (MExN): Regretting and censuring the NSCN-IM’s statement that Jalukie Zangdi belongs to the “Kacharis” and “Mias,” the Jalukie Zangdi Village Council has made clear that no decision shall overrule that of the Zeliangrong community. A brief note from the council and women society of the village reiterated that the NSCN-IM “kilo secretary” assertion of the village being of the ‘Kacharis” and “Mias” was not a misquoted statement.
In fact it was made in front of hundreds of public and women, the village reiterated. The village regretted that “kilo Kilonser” and his secretary took advantage of their position to defend aliens and that the land belonged to Munglumukh village.
“It is highly regretted that the kilo ministry has taken a decision without respecting the traditional rights of the Nagas; the whole land of Munglumukh and Jalukie Zangdi belongs to the Zeliangrong. Therefore, no decision shall overrule the Zeliangrong community” the village made clear.
