Jalukie, March 24 (MExN): Zeliangrong Catholic Youth Association Nagaland (ZCYAN) held its 9th convention coinciding with the silver jubilee celebration of St. Thomas Church CYA, Old Nzau village from January 20 to 23.
ZCYAN in the convention decided that the year 2017 will be a year of soul renewal. It also resolved to strive to strengthen the love, unity and peace among the people and endeavour to promote integrity and common progress of the Zeliangrong people.
The next convention of the association was further resolved to be held in January 2018 to be tentatively hosted by St. Thomas Church Mpai under St. Paul Parish Peren. The convention also decided to continue and complete the outreaching mobilizing mission by 2017. A decision was also made to publish a magazine to commemorate the 36 years of ZCYAN existence.
The convention was graced by Rev. Fr. Panni Paul MSFS, Parish Priest of SFS Parish Tening. The keynote address was given by Paulame Sephe, President, ZCYAN, where she highlighted the brief history ZCYAN. Rev. Fr. Carolus Neisalhou Kuotsu, Vicar General of Kohima diocese was the main celebrant of the jubilee, while Rev. Fr. Kwetrangging Dominic and Johnny Ruangmai were the main speakers of the convention.
