Zeliangrong Baudi downplay internal feud in ZU-AMN

Dimapur, November 11 (MExN):  Despite the internal feud going on in the ranks of the Zeliangrong Union-Assam, Manipur & Nagaland (ZU-AMN), the Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland today cautioned all the Zeliangrong public not to be confused by the ‘unwarranted statement’ of one ZU-AMN ‘acting president’, James Rangshung, which was reported by a news agency and published in some local dailies on November 6 last. 

A press received here from the Zeliangrong Baudi, Nagaland, which was issued through its Vice President, Raitu Elu, while cautioning the public about the paper war going on among the ZU AMN officials, termed the press statement issued by James Rangshung as ‘regrettable and is made void of meaning’. 

It may be mentioned that James Rangshung, who claims to be the acting president of the ZU-AMN, in a press statement issued to the Newmai News Network, ‘cautioned all members of the Union Assembly, village representatives, leaders and public of the Zeliangrongs to stay away from the meeting’. 

However, the Baudi played down the caution of James Rangshung and confirmed that the Convention is going ahead as scheduled on November 15 at Jalukie town in Peren district.   “The concern publics are hereby confirmed of the Convention as publicized,” the release stated. 

Further, the Baudi extended invitation to all the members’ representatives from the three states, executives of Zeliangrong Union AMN, Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland, public leaders, government officers, Zeliangrong Frontal organizations i.e. the Zeliang Mipui Organization, Students Union, and Jalukie Valley Women Organization village representatives, MPs, MLAs, Church leaders, to the Convention. 

The Zeliangrong Baudi, Nagaland requested the delegates to bring sufficient bedding, though the delegates will be provided their meals. 

The Zeliangrong Baudi also requested the delegates to report to the convening committee after their arrival date on November 14. 

“The convention will discourse on Zeliangrong solidarity and Unity with the objective to strengthen Naga integration as a whole,” the release added.
