Dimapur, July 4 (MExN): The Zeliangrong Councillors Dimapur today said that they have decided to “support and stand by the constitution of the Naga Council Dimapur (NCD). We also urge every citizen of Dimapur to abide and uphold the NCD's constitution for “better functioning and harmony among the people of Dimapur,” said a statement issued on behalf of Zeliangrong Councillors by James Akham.
The NCD is the apex organisation based in Dimapur and it has been in services for Dimapur citizens “since 1929” and has a record of “yeoman service towards its people without any vice or partiality and never being in practice in the line of tribalism,” it said.
“It is the institution by itself, fabric of Dimapur's Identity, symbol of unity in diversity,” it added, saying this milestone could be achieved “because of certain guidelines and discipline shown by the Naga councillors.” It also the incumbent NCD’s President and office bearers for successful completion of new cemetery at Zani Village area, Dimapur.
