Zeliangrong NNC Retired Association formed

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 8 (MExN): Retires leader of NNC (Naga National Council) of both Civil and Army wings, met on the August 30, this year at the residence of Rev .N. Palmei and discussed the present position and problems faced by the personnel of retired NNC. A press note issued by Retd Capt. KB. Pamei and Rev. N. Palmei, Session Secretary and Meeting Convener respectively stated that after deep discussion and prayer the house resolved to form an association under the title “Zeliangrong

NNC Retired Association” with immediate effect. The Association is to be led by Retd. Brigadier Tunbui Gonmei, as Chairman and Retd. Captain KB. Pamei, as Secretary.

The meeting is also said to have discussed the atrocities faced by the Zeliangrong, National Workers and the Naga Raj (Makam Gongdi) movement up to this days committed by the Indian Arm Forces and British Regime. 

In view of the fact that there is no document or books published to prove the atrocities, the house decided to publish a book under a suitable title. This work was entrusted to a group of 10 persons led by Gaingam Gangmei and Tading.
