
Dimapur: The Zeliangrong Prayer Day will be held on the last Sunday of February every year “to seek the blessing of God to forgive and forget the past misdeeds, for the solidarity of Zeliangrong consanguinity, peace and prosperity, and for all the executive members of Zeliangrong Baudi.” This refer to the Resolution No. 4 of 5th Dimki/Assembly Session held at Nchurelo Village, Mahur, Assam, on December 6, 2013, and Resolution No. 1 of the Central Executive Meeting, held at Tamzaham, Senapati District, Manipur on February 8, 2014.
A press release issued by Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN) general secretary, Dr Gairiangmei Maringmei informed that the first Zeliangrong Prayer Day will be observed on Sunday, February 23, 2014 in all the Zeliangrong inhabited areas irrespective of different denominations of Christianity, Heraka, Tingkao Raguang Chapriak (TRC), traditional Pou-Pei Chapriak, Champa and other faiths.
In light of this, Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) has appealed to all the churches, parish, TRC Kalumkai, Pou-Pei Chapriak, Champa, pei, youth club, women societies to observe the day in any possible manner.
