A press release in this connection appealed the higher authority to look into the grievances of the poor and marginalised public of the area. It claimed that the public have been silently suffering for three decades, and expressed hope that their dreams would be fulfilled.
The union informed that the Nsong public had conducted a mass social work on July 16 at Herajambak to clear a road blocked by landslide. “The public out of no option had initiated at their own to clear the road which is a disaster prone area. Its road in Nsong area is pathetic and no repairing or renovation has ever done after 28 years of NEC road had reached,” the ZSUN stated. The union further claimed that the NST bus which was running for the public had to stop as road conditions became “so pathetic”.
Meanwhile, the union on behalf of the Nsong public expressed their gratefulness to SDO (PWD) Tening for extending help by being physically present and monitoring the road clearance.
