Zero tolerance for bullying: ZRSU

DIMAPUR, JUNE 13 (MExN): The Zunheboto Range Students' Union (ZRSU) has issued a preventive warning to students and educational institutions under its jurisdiction against any acts of bullying, ragging, harassment, or intimidation in any form—physical, verbal, psychological, or digital.

In a statement on June 11, the ZRSU said that while no official complaints have yet been received, the advisory is being issued in the interest of ensuring student safety and upholding the dignity of academic spaces.

“ZRSU remains vigilant and committed to ensuring that no student feels unsafe or disrespected within any academic institution,” the union stated. “Let it be clearly understood, should any such act come to light, ZRSU will not hesitate to take immediate and uncompromising action, including public disclosure, expulsion recommendations, and legal escalation.”

The student body urged heads of institutions to stay alert and proactive, and to not overlook or conceal any such behavior.

“Bullying and ragging is a criminal offence—let no student suffer in silence,” the statement read, adding: “Be the reason someone feels safe, not scared.”
