Zhaleo encourages self-employment

ASU felicitates HSLC, HSSLC, CBSE toppers, NPSC, UPSC candidates

Kohima | June 21

The Angami Students’ Union (ASU) today felicitated the HSLC, HSSLC, CBSE toppers as well as NPSC and UPSC successful candidates from the Angami community at a function held here at the Ura Academy Hall with parliamentary secretary for urban development Zhaleo Rio as the chief guest. Through this felicitation programme, the Union honoured 32 HSLC toppers, 4 HSSLC toppers, one CBSE topper including 18 and 4 successful candidates of NPSC and UPSC respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, stating that the job avenue in the government sector has reached at the saturation point, Rio also called upon the youth to involve in the self-employment and entrepreneurship activities. Rio called upon the students to have a dream and vision and set their targets and achieve the same via proper planning, hard work and sacrifice. He also stated that sincerity, determination and commitment would facilitate an individual to achieve their desired goal. Stating the successful candidates have a great reason to rejoice at this hour, the parliamentary secretary also urged upon them to identify the area they are good at and focus on specialization in this competitive world. 

Angami Public Organization (APO) president Keneingunyü Sekhose acknowledged the achievement of all the candidates, adding that it was a matter of pride for the Angami community as a whole. In this, Sekhose urged upon them to strive harder in their journey be it in academic career or public service and set a positive impact to the society.

Earlier, welcome address was delivered by ASU president Zakie Khate while Angamiamiapfü Mechü Krotho (AMK) president Salhoutuonuo Kruse pronounced invocation prayer. Neithozeü Theünuo presented a special number. Kezhazer Angami chaired the function while Ruth Vizo compere the proceeding of the programme. The function concluded with vote of thanks proposed by ASU general secretary Sedevikho Angami.
