Zhavachhi community hall inaugurated

KOHIMA, MAY 14 (MExN): The community hall of Zhavachhi (New Zhavame) was inaugurated on Friday by Parliamentary Secretary for Higher and Technical Education, Deo Nukhu. The new village comprising 84 households has a population of almost 400 people.   Deo Nukhu dwelt on the different aspects of development and urged upon the community to make use of the hall to develop themselves in various areas. He said that Zhavachhi being a new village, its people have a lot of scope to improve their living standard. In this regard, he emphasized on cleanliness and said every household should have a toilet. He advised that the villagers could opt for low cost latrine in bamboo structure.

  He also encouraged them to plant fruit trees, which he said would not only beautify the village but also provide healthy food. He further asserted on healthy living and stressed that the community hall can be used for several purposes such as holding fellowship services, tuitions for school children, etc.   Village Council Chairman of Zhavame, Vivotso Domeh chaired the function.
