Peren, October 28 (MExN): The Zeliang Students' Union (ZLSU) has announced a temporary halt to its planned second phase of agitation, while maintaining the momentum of its ongoing first phase of protests. This decision, according to the union, stems from its commitment to pursuing constructive dialogue with educational authorities regarding pressing issues in government schools following the recent rationalization process.
In a press communiqué, the ZLSU expressed its belief that pausing the second phase would create an opportunity for further engagement with officials to address key concerns surrounding the retention or replacement of teachers.
"We are committed to advocating for quality education, and this temporary pause is part of our strategic effort to ensure our demands are addressed," the ZLSU stated. “Our focus remains on improving educational standards, and we will continue to keep the community informed of any developments.”
