Z.M Sekhose laid to rest

Kohima, October 8 (MExN): The funeral service of Z.M.Sekhose, who expired after a brief illness, was held today at T. Khel Ground, Kohima Village where several people came and paid tribute to him.
Son of Zelhoulie Sekhose of T. Khel, Kohima Village, Z. M. Sekhose was born on 9th September 1934. He had his early education at Kohima and matriculated in 1954 from the Kohima Govt High School.
Z. M. Sekhose was a sportsman and a great footballer of his time. He dedicated his prime of life into the Government service and he retired as Assistant Commissioner of Excise in 1991. After his retirement he gave the rest of his life to social services.
Meanwhile, advisor and former president of Angami Public Organization (APO) Mhiesizokho Zinyü in a condolence message said he was a man of action and messenger of peace, and as such the title “Patriarch” was conferred on him by the Tenyimi Central Union in 2005. “Words are inadequate to express my grief and feeling of emptiness. His death is a great loss to our people, and it has created a vacuum which can never be filled again. He has left us at a juncture when he is most needed. The Naga people have lost a titan in the sudden demise of Z.M. Sekhose. Truly, Z.M. Sekhose was a titan among the great,” Zinyü added.
