Dimapur, May 23 (MExN): The teaching faculty of Zisaji-Presidency College informed that pay slips are not issued till date, even after the implementation of the 6th ROP, whereas most of the college teachers in Nagaland have already received their pay slips in the year 2010 itself. In an open letter to the Minister, Higher Education Nagaland, the deprived members of the teaching faculty of Zisaji-Presidency College Kiphire, stated, “We regret to inform your high authority of our grievances which we have been facing since the so-called implementation of 6th ROP.”
A press note issued by the Lecturer Forum of Zisaji-Presidency College Kiphire stated that in the month of March, a representation to the Commissioner Secretary and Director Higher Education Kohima was submitted, but there was no response to satisfy their demand.
“The delay of getting pay slip with 6th pay commission discourages us mentally that unable us to impart our best to the society. But we the unfortunate staff are still waiting to get information with regard to our pay slips. When all other state government and central government employee have been enjoying 6th ROP, we are the only deprived group to wait for the new pay scale. As the cost of living is considerably increasing, we are facing with lot of difficulties with the present meager amount of our salary,” further stated the forum in the letter.
The forum in the letter therefore requested the Minister, Higher Education Nagaland to kindly consider the case and issue the pay slip with 6th pay revision at the earliest possible, so as to enable the teaching fraternity to impart best service to the institution and community at large.
