Dimapur, February 2 (MExN): The Zeliang People’s Organisation (ZPO) has vehemently condemned the “senseless and barbaric killings” of innocent Naga civilians and critically injuring many by armed police personnel at the “dictate of atrociously brutal” state government of Nagaland on Tuesday, January 31 at Dimapur.
While condemning the unfortunate mayhem that had occurred in the highest abominable term, the ZPO in a condolence message issued by its media cell extented heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families whose loved ones have courageously laid their precious lives at cause of protecting Naga’s right and also convey good wishes and prayer for speedy recovery of the injured.
Meanwhile, ZPO in its humble stance reiterates its previous statements of January 6 and 11 to avert conduct of ULB election regrets that had the “appeals and wishes of the Naga people been heeded, the state government of Nagaland under the Chief Minister T.R Zeliang would not have landed itself into this helpless catastrophe and public abhorrence.”
Also, the ZPO appreciates efforts and conscious actions of the right thinking Zeliang people who successfully prevented conduct of ULB poll in Tening town on February 1, 2017 as it will remarkable go down the Naga annals.
