ZSU cautions truant school heads

Peren, June 12 (MExN): The Zeliang Students’ Union (ZLSU) today stated that while government schools in Peren district are performing exceptionally well, it has come to its knowledge that the “headmasters of certain schools are found to be very irregular and are rarely in station.”

It was not surprising that the schools with “irresponsible Headmasters are among the worst performing schools within the district,” it pointed out.

Accordingly, the ZLSU stated that the union would not tolerate such “imprudent behaviours” from any such negligent heads of schools.

“The concerned heads and all teachers ignoring  their duties are warned to be in station within 7 days time and perform their duties earnestly so that the fate of the students are not tampered,” it cautioned

Failing to comply with the directive will lead to strict action against the defaulters, through the Directorate of School Education, it added.

Meanwhile, the union also expressed its appreciation and acknowledgement to those teachers who responsible and dedicated and performing their duties tirelessly.

Government schools in Peren district were top-three performers with 52% pass percentage, the ZLSU informed.
