ZSUD prepares for ‘Inter Tribal Cultural Dance Competition’

Dimapur, July 14 (MExN): The Zeliang Students’ Union Dimapur (ZSUD) along with its apex bodies and subordinate units, held an extensive deliberation at Tourist Lodge Dimapur, in preparation for the upcoming ‘Inter Tribal Cultural Dance Competition’. The meeting focused on finalising arrangements and ensuring that every aspect of the event reflects the rich cultural heritage of the Nagas. 

According to a press release received here, the ‘Inter Tribal Cultural Dance Competition’ is set to take place in the month of September, promising to be a vibrant display of traditional dances, music, and costumes, reflecting the unique cultural tapestry of the region.

The discussion covered various critical aspects, including the coordination of participants, logistical arrangements, and the preservation of cultural heritage through the competition. Leaders and members of the ZSUD emphasised the importance of this event in fostering unity and showcasing the rich cultural diversity of the tribal communities. The deliberation also addressed the need for ensuring a seamless experience for all attendees. 

ZSUD President, Asap Zeliang highlighted the significance of the competition, stating, “This event is more than just a cultural showcase; it is a celebration of our identity and heritage. We aim to bring together different tribes, fostering mutual respect and understanding through the universal language of dance.”
