
Jalukie, October 27 (MExN): The presidential council meeting of the Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland (ZSUN) was convened on October 25 at the Women Welfare Hall in Jalukie Town, bringing together senior leaders, legal advisors, and representatives from 31 federating units, each represented by two delegates.
Chaired by Adaube Hiekha Hau, with Kibouwi Zeliang as meeting secretary, the gathering focused on strengthening unity among the Zeliangrong people.
Speaking on the occasion, former Union president Penam Rengmunta and ex-NSF secretary Elu Ndang delivered, urged attendees to work collectively to address the challenges facing their communities and called for a united front.
They also underscoring the shared responsibility of Zeliangrong leaders to uplift and empower their people.
Both leaders highlighted the importance of proactive leadership, encouraging the attendees to actively address issues such as educational disparities, socio-economic obstacles, and cultural preservation, as per a ZSUN release.
They also spoke of the powerful impact that unified efforts could bring, fostering a spirit of collaboration not only within ZSUN but also with broader community stakeholders.
The meeting also saw active discussions, sharing insights on the pressing concerns faced by their communities.
The session concluded with a hvote of thanks from ZSUN Vice President Ramdihei, who acknowledged the contributions of each federating unit and highlighted their essential role in strengthening both the Union and the community.
