Zunheboto, August 16 (MExN): Sensitization training for ASHAs and AWWs on Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign under Zunheboto Sadar and Pughoboto block was held on August 13 at Zunheboto.
In his introduction address, Dr. Alemwabang Aier, DPO (RCH & UIP), Zunheboto briefed about the objectives of the meeting. He encouraged the workers to work hand in hand. He motivated the participants to work with dedication and sincerity for this upcoming MR Campaign. He explained about the AEFI treatment/management during MR campaign and stressed on organising vaccination sites including Injection safety and Waste management during MR campaign.
Shekho Sophie, Dist Media Officer facilitated the participants on country MR update, elimination strategies and basic strategies operational plans for Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign. He also spoke on the objectives of the MR Communication plan. He briefed about the importance of advocacy with the stakeholders and social mobilization. He also stressed on capacity building of community and media management.
In Pughoboto CHC, the training was resource by Dr. Visavotuo Sachu, MO (Dental Surgeon) and Vihuto Wotsa, BPM Pughoboto block. The training was attended by ASHAs & AWWs of Zunheboto Sadar and Pughoboto block, stated a press release issued by Shekho Sophie, District Media Officer, CMO Office Zunheboto.
