ZUNHEBOTO, JULY 14 (DIPR): Deliberating on lands acquired by the Government and its related issues, the Zunheboto District Planning and Development Board monthly has formed a committee to look into the various counts of land-encroachment. This was decided at the Zunheboto DPDB monthly meeting held on July 10 at DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of Minister for Works & Housing and Chairman DPDB, Tokheho Yepthomi.
The Minister while inviting awareness of all the heads of offices in the district about encroachment into Government’s land, impressed upon the individuals and parties to uphold the agreement and commitment made by the forefathers at the time of selling or donating land. He added that, receiving compensations by the landowners definitely means also to give co-operation to the Government without any disturbance.
After a lengthy deliberation on the issue of Government’s land and buildings in Zunheboto town being possessed, taken over or encroached by private individuals and private owners, the DPDB viewed it to be a serious matter and decided to form a separate committee consisting of ADC Zunheboto as Chairman with the Land Records & Survey Officer, Zunheboto and all heads of offices, Zunheboto as members.
The Committee so formed was entrusted to go through and monitor land documents of all Government lands and buildings. This Committee was also entrusted to assess the Government’s land, buildings occupied by Government servants, unauthorized persons, land owners etc and also coordinate with the State Level Committee if required.
The Deputy Commissioner urged upon all heads of offices to maintain proper records pertaining to acquisition of land and also to uphold the agreement made with the landowners for appointment of Grade IV staff on 50:50 ratio. He added that preference should be given to the landowners.
Meanwhile, in respect of posting of Veterinary Assistant and Farm Manager, the DPDB resolved to reiterate the earlier request of the Board to transfer back the following posts transferred out of Zunheboto along with post: -
VAS Satakha
VAS Aghunato
VAS Pughoboto and
Farm Manager Akuluto
The proposal for opening of a sub-center at Kikhevi village was also recommended by the Board and entrusted the Civil Surgeon to fulfill necessary justification and forward the same to the Director of Health Services for early action.
Also, construction of 12 bedded hospital at Sappiqa Town was entrusted on the Civil Surgeon Zunheboto to take up the proposal with the Engineering wing of the Medical Department.
Among others, the Board also, after proper scrutiny approved the detailed project report for Integrated Cooperative Development Programme under Zunheboto district amounting to 2065.24 Lakhs, which was prepared by the Agricultural Finance Cooperative Ltd Mumbai, Branch Office Guwahati and recommended the same to the Government.
Grant-in-Aid to National English School, Ghathashi, Step by Step Zunheboto and up-gradation of St. Anthony’s School Zunheboto were also recommended to the Government for further action.
