• Forwards request for bus service
• Construction of DC office soon
Zunheboto, February 21 (MExN): Zunheboto District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) held its monthly meeting at Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall on February 20. A DIPR report stated that the meeting was attended by Minister Agriculture and Cooperation, G Kaito Aye, Advisors, Khehovi Yepthomi, Pukhayi and Kazheto Kinimi and other members of the board.
The board members approved the setting-up of NAP outpost at Satoi. The Board also forwarded the request of the public for a bus service from Zunheboto town to Kohima and Mokokchung.
Chairman of the board, Kazheto Kinimi stressed on the issue of construction of the DC office complex in Zunheboto town. He assured that a decision would be made in one month and called for tenders from interested parties. Regarding the bus service to Kohima and Mokokchung, he requested all concerned departments to cooperate and process the issue at the earliest.
Pukhayi took up the issue of the on-going coronavirus epidemic and the hazards of hunting wild animals and birds at this juncture. He called for awareness building programs not only in the district headquarters and large towns but also in villages as well. He also highlighted the need to grow our economy specifically through agriculture and the rich resources available to us.
Khehovi Yepthomi reiterated the need to check the issue of office attendance. He appealed to all officers to be present at their respective posting places. He also requested the DC to write to all the officers to check the attendance in their offices and report the defaulters.
G Kaito Aye highlighted various on-going/stalled projects like the proposal for the construction of a hundred bedded hospital, nursing school, Multi-purpose hall and DIET in Zunheboto.
The GBs union brought to the notice of the board about the lack of machinery in Zunheboto town, urgently required for town maintenance. The request was forwarded by the board.
