Zunheboto Government College hosts 9th Annual ICE Fest

Zunheboto Government College celebrated its 9th Annual ICE Fest (Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship) under the theme “Era Nova – Redefining Creativity”, bringing together students, educators, and guests in a celebration of ideas and innovation on November 4.

The formal session was graced by Menuokholie Kire, Joint Director and State Project Director (RUSA/PM-USHA), Department of Higher Education, Nagaland as guest of honour. Others present were special invitees from NIELIT Kohima and the Department of Horticulture, Zunheboto.

Kire recalled that his first posting was at Zunheboto Government College, and returning as guest of honour just before his retirement was an emotional and nostalgic experience. He expressed his delight at the remarkable progress and transformation of the college over the years.

The informal session celebrated the talents and creativity of students through various competitions and performance .Competitions included Anthem Presentation, Eco-Friendly Designathon, Cosplay and E-sports. Departments from across the college participated enthusiastically, showcasing their unique flair and teamwork.

The Eco-Friendly Designathon, in particular, drew attention for promoting sustainability and innovation, while the Cosplay competition transformed the campus into a lively hub of color, creativity and imagination. Students also organized food and game stalls, attracting visitors with a mix of local flavors and fun interactive activities.

Adding to the festival’s educational value, students received training sessions from NIELIT Kohima on digital innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as from the Horticulture Department, which guided them on eco-friendly practices and sustainable livelihoods.

The highlight of the fest was the grand Live Music Concert featuring local talents Boloto and Isaak, with Psycho K4 as the special guest artist.
