The much-anticipated Zunheboto District Inter-Departmental Sports Week 2025 has been scheduled for the second week of October, Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Chairman of the District Sports Council, Dharam Raj, IAS, announced during the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting held on September 10 at the DC’s Conference Hall, Zunheboto.
The Sports Week, organised annually since 2010, brings together government departments in the district to foster camaraderie, teamwork, and a spirit of healthy competition. The DC appealed to all Heads of Departments under Zunheboto District to ensure full participation, stressing that their involvement is key to the success of the event.
Alongside the announcement of the Sports Week, the DPDB also deliberated on other district matters, including the correction of the spelling of Sütsa (earlier Sütsah) as proposed by the Sumi Literature Board, initiatives to check the stray cattle menace, and ongoing development projects presented by the Urban Development Department.
Concluding the meeting, the DC thanked members for their cooperation and urged them to continue contributing innovative ideas for the overall progress of Zunheboto District.
