
Zunheboto, June 27 (MExN): Livestock farmers from each block of Zunheboto left for an exposure tour to other already established states in the field of livestock farming on June 27 under National Livestock Mission (NLM) 2015-16 & 17.
The Chief Vety&AH Officer, Zunheboto, Dr. Toshi Aier in a press release said that the aim of the mission is to allow the farmers to see for themselves the already technologically established/progressive farms and impart knowledge through such field visits to help build up their capacity and create confidence in taking up farming activities and benefit during execution venture.
The farmers will visit College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara & all its instructional livestock & poultry farms including its Abattoir, followed by private run hatchery units & composite farms. Further, the expo team will proceed to government run Goattery Farm in Byrnihat then to Kyrdemkolai poultry farm in Meghalaya state.
Dr. Bocto Sumi, VAS, Veterinary Hospital, Zunheboto as the team in charge officer along with his subordinate officers is leading the team.
The CVO, Zunheboto before the departure of the expo team gave a short speech of encouragement and advice and pointed out certain guidelines for the sake of successful and fruitful visit, the release added.
