Zunheboto observes National De-Worming Day

Zunheboto, February 10 (MExN): Along with the rest of the country, inaugural programme of National De-Worming Day was held at Olympic Higher Secondary School on February 8 in Zunheboto district. Shekho Sophie, District Media Officer, Zunheboto in a press release stated that Dr K Akaho Sema, Deputy CMO, Zunheboto administered the first De-worming tablet. In his address, Dr Akaho talked about the importance of healthy lifestyle and emphasized on the importance of hygienic environment, saying that to live a healthy living standard one have to start from oneself. He motivated the teachers and students to be an ambassador to create awareness about different activities carried out by the medical department. He also encouraged the health workers to work with dedication and sincerity, stating that there will be obstacle in every corner. The Deputy CMO acknowledged the health workers for their hard work and services rendered to the society. Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Shikatoli, MO, RBSK. The release informed that De-worming tablets will be given in all government and private schools, health units and Anganwadi centres.
