Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, Dharam Raj, IAS, convened a coordination meeting on June 5 with all line departments in preparation for the upcoming launch of the Dharti Aaba Abhiyan – awareness and benefits saturation camps, scheduled to be held from June 15 to 30.

During the meeting, the DC Zunheboto highlighted that the Government of India, through the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, is undertaking two critical and time-bound missions aimed at empowering tribal communities. These include the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan(PM-JANMAN) and the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JGUA), both of which aim to saturate services and infrastructure in tribal areas across the country through targeted interventions.

Dharam emphasised that unlike traditional IEC campaigns, this initiative will focus on on-the-ground delivery of entitlements through village- and cluster-level camps. The services to be provided include (but are not limited to): Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, Ayushman Bharat Card (PM-JAY), Caste Certificate, Domicile Certificate, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), PM-KISAN, Jan Dhan Account, Insurance Coverage (PMJJBY/PMSBY), Social Security benefits (Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, Disability Pension), and Employment and Livelihood Schemes (MGNREGA, PM Vishwakarma, Mudra Loans). Women and child welfare benefits such as PMMVY, ICDS services, and immunization will also be offered.

Furthermore, the DC Zunheboto stated that the campaign will operate with the active participation of Common Service Centres (CSCs), local administration, frontline workers, and through inter-departmental convergence. He appealed to all line departments and workers to participate sincerely to ensure the successful implementation of the campaign and that its benefits reach every eligible tribal individual and family.
