Zunheboto, November 22 (MExN): The District Hub For Empowerment of Women (DHEW) with the District Administration and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao under the theme “Run to Rise: Together Against Gender- based violence” is calling for the participants for Marathon race scheduled on November 25.
This initiative has been organized to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and to launch 16 days of activism against gender-based violence There will be two categories, male and female. Entry for the marathon is free for everyone. Prizes will be awarded to the first and second place winners in both categories. The marathon will begin at 6:30 AM, starting from IOC, South Point with an ending point at Public Ground, Zunheboto.
This programme aimed to raise awareness about the elimination of violence against women and to encourage public participation.
