In accordance with the Nagaland Municipal Act, the council has designated specific parking areas within Zunheboto Town. For commercial vehicles, the parking areas include local taxis at BOC (Hospital Junction), Daily Market, Old Taxi Parking opposite HKY Building, and Mokokchung Road below the SBI Bazaar Branch.

Bolero pickups and Tata mobiles will park at K.L. Chishi Junction/Lapato, while mini trucks are designated to the Old Gas Agency on Mokokchung Road in Old Town Ward.

Outward bound passenger vehicles will have designated spots at the Daily Market Complex, covering routes to Aghunato, Satakha, Kohima, and Dimapur, and below the Old Mount Ford School on Mokokchung Road for areas including Akuluto, Suruhuto, Atoizu, VK, and Mokokchung.

Heavy motor vehicles will park on Mokokchung Road in Laghilato Ward, an area known for landslides. For Network Travels and NST, parking will be allowed below the District Education Office Building after 4:00 PM and before 7:30 AM, as well as near Axis Bank.

For private vehicles, designated parking includes areas for four-wheelers at BOC (Woodland School Gate to Jio Office area), K.L. Chishi/Lapato Junction to NCRC Area, NCRC to Daily Market point, Daily Market to DC Office Junction, DC Office Junction to Centenary Gate, Centenary Gate to Taxi Point 3/ZTCM Parking, and New Colony main drain area to Mokokchung Sumo Counter.

Two-wheeler parking will be available at NPF Office Junction Area opposite SBI Main Branch and Alahuto Gate Area.

Effective November first, a vehicle parking fee will be implemented, charging Rs 20 for four-wheelers and Rs 10 for two-wheelers per day on weekdays, excluding Sundays. This fee applies to all categories of motor vehicles, except government-registered vehicles. A special vehicle parking permit can also be obtained for two hundred rupees per month for regular parking spaces.

The circular designates specific no-parking zones, including the stretch from Alahuto Gate to the SDO (Electrical) Office, from Alahuto Police Point to Dr. Bohovi Clinic, and along Mokokchung Road, opposite the taxi parking to the Old Gas Agency in New Colony.

This initiative follows a letter from the Municipal Affairs Department, emphasizing the importance of organized vehicle management in the town.
