The oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected nominees of various Town Councils in Zunheboto District was held at the DC conference hall on January 27.
The event was chaired by Japheth Wocha, NCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner for Zunheboto. Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, convened the ceremony for the Zunheboto District, which included representatives from Zunheboto Town Council, Atoizu Town Council, Aghunato Town Council, and Satakha Town Council.
The following individuals were affirmed for their respective Town Councils: Toniho Chishi, Likivi Awomi, Vitoshe Achumi, and G. Hekuto Zhimomi for Zunheboto Town Council; Vito Ayemi, Inali, and Zuihe Yeptho for Atoizu Town Council; V. Akuto Yeptho, Kiyeto Zhimo, and Toketo Zhimo for Aghunato Town Council; and Kiyeto Zhimo, Tuto Hokiye Zhimo, and Hoshito Zhimo for Satakha Town Council.
In his address, the DC Zunheboto encouraged the new council members to adhere to principles of service, transparency, and accountability. The event was attended by local dignitaries, Political Parties and government officials who came together to witness the formal affirmation of their elected representatives.
