MLA Azheto Zhimomi releases a souvenir (Vesulho) during the Zhimomi Hoho 75th anniversary celebration on November 24.
Zunheboto, November 24 (MExN): Zhimomi Hoho celebrated its 75th anniversary of inception at Sheyipu village near Zunheboto town on November 24.
The Zhimomi Hoho 75th anniversary planning board, media & publicity committee in a press release stated that the celebration began with opening of monolith programme which was chaired by G Ikuto Zhimomi, Chairman of 75th Anniversary Planning Board. Dedication prayer of the monolith was led by Rev Hukugha Zhimomi, Executive Secretary, SBAK (Nito Mount) followed by opening of monolith by Dr HS Rotokha and release of 75th anniversary balloons. A Sumi War Dance (Aphilo Kuwo) was performed by Lizu Joint Council to honour the occasion.
The main session was chaired by Phutoshe Zhimomi, Joint Secretary, Zhimomi Hoho with Akito A Zhimomi as Recorder. Invocation was pronounced by Rev P Hotokhu Zhimomi, Former ES of SABAK while Hetovi Zhimomi, Hd GB of Sheyipu Village gave the welcome address. The women folk of Sheyipu village presented welcome song ‘Thighale’ followed by presidential address by Ahovi Zhimomi, President Zhimomi Hoho.
The souvenir (Vesulho) was released by Azheto Zhimomi, MLA. T Inavi Zhimo, Convenor of Editorial Committee gave an outline about ‘Vesulho.’ Special song was presented by Ili Elli Zhimomi and a special item called ‘Zhimomi Leshe’ was presented by octogenarian Bohovi Zhimomi, Village Chief of Shoipu Village.
Special greetings and short messages were shared by Azheto Zhimomi, MLA and I Nikheto Jimomi, President, Sumi Hoho. They dwelled on the importance of knowing the roots of existence, purpose of brotherhood to broaden our outlook and strive for peaceful coexistence with other clans for the overall growth of Sumi tribe in particular and Nagas in general, the release stated.
A special prayer for blessings upon the Zhimomi clan was led by Rev Dr Yehevi Jimomi. Vote of thanks was delivered by Capt G Khekavi Zhimomi, Vice President, Zhimomi Hoho and benediction was said by Aboka Zhimomi, Pastor of Sheyipu Baptist Church.
