Kiphire, July 28 (MExN): The Zanger Village Students’ Union (ZVSU) has endorsed the joint representation submitted to CEO, Nagaland by KTDSSU and PACSU on linking Aadhaar with electoral roll of Kiphire district and urged the department concerned to meticulously pursue the matter. In this regard, ZVSU will extend support and co-operation to all concerned to ensure elimination/deletion of bogus e-roll, stated a press release from S Anthony, ZVSU Vice President.
“While there have been several anomalies in E/Roll in Kiphire district, linking Aadhaar with E/Roll exclusively for Kiphire district would be a litmus test to accomplish clean election. As such, it would be a futile exercise in accomplishing clean election unless E/Roll is rectified/ purified,” it maintained.
In sync with the call of NBCC, ZVSU asserted, it should be the bounden duty of every responsible citizen to refrain from manipulating e-roll so that the genuine voters can exercise their franchise without any fear or nepotism. ZVSU also appealed to all the right thinking citizens to extend cooperation to the department concerned for the common cause.
